The West Lincoln girls’ soccer team had a great 2022-2023 season as they finished 14-6 overall and qualified for the MHSAA Class I playoffs.

Senior Cara Jarancik was a big part of that success and this week Jarancik signed to continue her soccer career by signing a letter-of-intent with Copiah-Lincoln CC.

Jarancik is the third WL soccer alum to sign with a community college program in the last two yeas as Angelina Shows was a freshman for Co-Lin this year and Camryn Summerall was also a freshman at Itawamba CC.

“Cara has been a great leader and captain for our team,” said WL coach Dane Hodges. “She works hard and is always looking for ways to be a better soccer player.”

“We’re grateful for what Cara has done for our program and are excited to see what she’ll continue to do at Co-Lin,” said Hodges.
