MHP: 3 weekend wrecks result in injuries

Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M worked three wrecks with injuries over the weekend.

On Friday, at approximately 9:38 a.m., Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. 84 in Lincoln County, according to Cpl. Craig James.

A 2013 Ford Edge was traveling east on Hwy. 84 when it collided with a 2020 GMC Sierra traveling south on Meadville Lane, crossing Hwy. 84. The driver and two passengers in the Edge received injuries in the crash and were transported to King’s Daughters Medical Center by ambulance.

At approximately 3:23 p.m., Troopers responded to a two-vehicle wreck on Hwy. 550.

A 2010 Ford Ranger was traveling west on Hwy. 550 when it collided with a 2007 Ford Focus, also traveling west on 550, near Mystery Lane. The driver of the Focus suffered injuries in the crash.
On Sunday, at about 12:58 p.m., MHP responded to a crash in Lawrence County involving a pickup and an ATV.

A 2009 Honda ATV was traveling north on Hwy. 43 when it collided with a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado, also traveling north on 43. The driver of the ATV was injured, and transported via ambulance to Lawrence County Hospital.

The crashes remain under investigation by MHP, James said.
