Another community-wide town hall meeting will take place Tuesday, April 11, at the East End Community Center, 907 East Independence St.
The first “Life at the Brook” town hall meeting was Aug. 25, 2022. Three more have since followed.
“I must admit it was very exciting to see our community come together to have a healthy and much-needed discussion on issues that are going on in our community,” said organizer Bishop Jerry Kelly. “I would like to continue furthering our conversations, actions and resources as it relates to ways we can better our community.”
“We must be honest with ourselves and take an honest approach as we take a look at some of the things that are happening in our community,” Kelly said. “We must be willing to have hard, yet heart-to-heart conversations with those in position to make the necessary changes in our city. We must stand together regardless of race, color, creed or orientation or the way we have grown up in our own personal beliefs as it relates to individuals.”
