Monticello teen injured in weekend crash

A Monticello teen received minor injuries in a weekend car wreck.
At approximately 3 p.m. Saturday, April 1, Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle crash on Hwy. 583 in Lincoln County, according to Troop M Cpl. Craig James.
A 2006 Chevrolet Impala driven by 18-year-old Elijah Cooksey was traveling north on Hwy. 583 when it left the roadway and collided with a tree. Cooksey suffered minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
