The Brookhaven High tennis team is one with a strong tradition when it comes to the MHSAA 5A State Tournament. 

The Panthers will try to add to that tradition today at 3 p.m. when they host West Jones in the 5A South State finals.

The team is coming off a thrilling win on Tuesday at Long Beach. Coach Becky Green and her Panthers won 4-3 at LB, with two of those four wins coming in third-set tiebreakers.

Brookhaven High had a first round bye after winning Region 5. West Jones won Region 7-5A and beat West Harrison in the second round and Vancleave in the third round to set up their matchup with Ole Brook.
