“She was his girlfriend, and he lives with her in the apartment,” Brookhaven Police Chief Kenneth Collins said.

Her children were present when the assault took place, the chief said, potentially making the incident more dangerous.

Allison, 25, was charged with simple assault domestic violence.

“He jumped on her this morning and busted her lip,” said Collins. “Then he refused to leave.”

Collins said the case was under investigation, and more charges may be pending.
