Entergy MS warns customers of online scams

Entergy Mississippi has issued a warning for its customers of recent online scams.

While many customers turn to search engines for answers to questions about utility services, scammers are highly aware of these habits.

One online scam is duping customers with a website and phone number that look legitimate but is not, actually luring customers into a financial trap. When customers use the incorrect numbers they find online to pay bills, the bad actors make fraudulent charges. In some instances, the scammers have also used the victim’s information to establish an account with Entergy, resulting in multiple charges to the person’s bank account.

It’s important for customers to educate themselves and safeguard their personal information to avoid falling victim to scams.”
