MEMA: 5 homes, 1 church damaged in Lawrence County by storms

A preliminary damage assessment for severe weather on June 14 shows five homes and a church damaged in Lawrence County.
The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency is working with county Emergency Management directors to assess damage from the storms Wednesday. Statewide, reports have been submitted of damaged homes, trees down and power outages due to high winds.
In addition to Lawrence County, Humphreys County has reported damage to 10 homes, and Forrest County has reported 15 homes with damage.
MEMA encourages residents with any damage from the severe weather to file an insurance claim; take photos of the damage; and report it to their county and MEMA through self-report tool at www.MSEMA.org
MEMA is also monitoring severe weather and possible damage from storms Thursday and Friday.
