If you’ve watched Brookhaven Academy baseball over the last few years, you know that senior Easton Boyte is a player that pitches from the mound with everything he’s got.

Boyte throws the ball with an intensity that starts at the bottom of his feet and goes to the top of his head as he delivers the ball to the plate.

In 2023, Boyte again proved what a quality arm he was for Brookhaven Academy coach Caleb Upton. He pitched a team high 67.1 innings and struck out 86 batters. Boyte issued just 17 walks on the year and put up a 2.28 ERA.

For his efforts, Boyte has been named the 2023 Daily Leader All-Area Most Valuable Defensive Player.

A Co-Lin baseball signee, Boyte was also strong at the plate for the Cougars. He finished second on the team with 27 RBIs and finished with a .341 batting average.

Hopes are high for next season at Co-Lin as second year head coach Adam Chamblee has worked hard to improve the talent on the team through recruiting.

If Boyte can continue his development and pitch with the same focus he did at BA, he’ll be an asset for the Wolves over the next two seasons.
