You might not know much about Bogue Chitto baseball if you’re not a Bobcat supporter.

Just know this, junior Myles Foil can hit.

Foil finished the 2023 season with a .466 average at the plate for Bogue Chitto. He led the Bobcats (21-11) with 48 hits. He drove in 42 runs, scored 51 runs himself, smacked 14 doubles, two triples and four home runs.

For his outstanding play at the plate, Foil has been named 2023 Daily Leader All-Area Most Valuable Offensive Player.

A transfer from North Pike, Foil recently wrapped up his first season at BC by being selected as MAC 2A Second Team All-State.

In 2023, Foil drew 20 walks and struck out just seven times in 126 plate appearances. He was also credited with stealing 30 bases on a team that battled with Scott Central before being knocked out in the MHSAA 2A second round.

Foil was also second on the team in innings thrown as a pitcher with 44 for coach Gareth Sartin. He finished with a 4.45 ERA and struck out a team high 63 batters.
