MHP: 8 wrecks in past 5 days in Lincoln County

Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M, based in Brookhaven, has responded to eight motor vehicle wrecks in Lincoln County within five days.
On Saturday, June 17, two vehicles collided on Hwy. 84 westbound at Jackson-Liberty Road at 8:54 p.m.
At 1:04 p.m. Sunday afternoon, Father’s Day, a one-vehicle wreck occurred on Interstate 55 in the southbound lanes at mile marker 30. No injuries were reported in Saturday’s or Sunday’s wrecks.
Three wrecks happened Monday. The first was at 6:25 a.m. on Hwy. 550 at Mystery Lane. The one-vehicle crash resulted in reported injuries. Another single-vehicle wreck took place at 7:02 a.m. on Hwy. 84 in the eastbound lanes at Lower Meadville Road. No injuries were reported in this accident.
The third Monday wreck was at 8:21 p.m. on I-55 southbound. The two-vehicle crash at the exit 38 off ramp did result in injuries.
A pair of two-vehicle wrecks took place on I-55 Tuesday, though neither resulted in reported injuries. The first was at 2:41 a.m. in the northbound lanes at exit 38. The second was at 6:05 p.m. in the southbound lanes at exit 42.
On Wednesday at 3:11 p.m., a two-vehicle wreck on Hwy. 583 at Bethel Road did result in injuries.
