National Night Out is an annual community building campaign to promote community and law enforcement partnerships.

The 2023 event will be Thursday, Aug. 3, hosted by the Brookhaven Exchange Club, at the fairgrounds during the fair. From 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., adults and children can interact with first responders, emergency medical personnel, fire fighters, and law officers, seeing equipment and vehicles, and asking questions.

“There will be some equipment for kids to see and tour, and you can meet and greet local first responders,” said Brookhaven Police Assistant Chief Clint Earls. “We want to invite the public to come out and join us.”
