Absentee voting for Primary Runoff closes Saturday

Anyone who has not voted absentee for the Lincoln County Primary Runoff has until noon Saturday to do so.
The runoff will be Tuesday, Aug. 29. Voters who need to cast their ballots because they cannot reach a polling place on the day of the runoff must visit the office of the Circuit Clerk on the second floor of the Lincoln County/Brookhaven Government Complex.
The office will be open until 5 p.m. Thursday, and 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday. The final day to cast an absentee ballot is Saturday, Aug. 26. The office will be open 8 a.m. until noon.
The Primary Runoff will decide the November Republican candidates in the following three races: District 2 Supervisor, District 3 Supervisor, and Post 2 Justice Court Constable.
Those who are eligible to vote absentee are any qualified voters who will be out of the area due to full-time education, is age 65 or older, is disabled or hospitalized, will be at work during the times polls are open (7 a.m. until 7 p.m.), or will be out of the county on election day for any reason.
