Police recover vehicles stolen from Nissan dealership

On Aug. 14, 2023, the Brookhaven Police Department responded to an incident at Paul Barnett Nissan, 845 Brookway Blvd. involving a break-in and the theft of motor vehicles.
The stolen vehicles were later located in Jackson.
BPD detectives established communication with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations, Mississippi Department of Homeland Security, and the Jackson Police Department. With their cooperation, BPD successfully recovered a portion of the stolen vehicles.
Certain suspects have been identified in connection with this case, according to Det. Sgt. Timothy Sanders. Theses suspects are believed to be linked to the theft of three vehicles from Stan King Chevrolet on Aug. 9.
“We would like to thank the local, state, and federal agencies involved for their assistance in this case,” Chief Kenneth Collins said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
