Ole Miss fans will invade Bourbon Street before, after and likely during the mid-afternoon matchup with the Tulane Green Wave.

Yulman Stadium should be at capacity as the Green Wave seek to get a win over Ole Miss for the first time since 1987.

Rebel fans know that this is going to be a much stiffer test than the 73-7 win over Mercer at home last week.

Head coach Willie Fritz has built a program that’s loaded with toughness at Tulane. The Wave went 12-2 last season and had one of the best performances of anyone not named Georgia in a bowl game, coming back late to beat USC in the Cotton Bowl. The Wave got the 2023 season started last week with a 37-17 win over South Alabama. The Ole Miss defense is going to have to find a way to slow down Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt.

The 6-foot-3 Pratt looks like he should live in Oxford at the Sigma Nu house, but he plays like a Great Value Brands version of Josh Allen with his ability to take off and run.

Win or lose, it’s always easy to have a good time in New Orleans, but the evening debauchery in the French Quarter will be extra sweet if Ole Miss leaves Uptown with a win.
