Brookhaven Police officers have arrested two local teenagers in connection with a recent drive-by shooting.

At approximately 6:57 p.m. Sept. 21, BPD officers responded to a call of shots fired at or near 1098 East Monticello St. Upon arrival, they found the residence had been shot into, and 17 5.56 mm shell casings were recovered on the scene. Though occupied at the time by four individuals, none were injured, according to investigator Master Sgt. Jonathan Hart.

Witnesses provided a description of a vehicle that left the property as shots were being fired, and that vehicle was recovered a little time later, Hart said.

Kristianna Lynette Wilson, age 18, of 202 Brashier St. was arrested, and charged with accessory to a felony before the fact, and accessory to a felony after the act.

Upon further investigation, a second suspect was located and arrested — 14-year-old Jamar Latrell Mason, of 611 Oil Service Lane. Mason was charged as an adult with shooting into a dwelling and drive-by shooting.

Both Wilson and Mason were booked into the Lincoln County Jail. The case remains under investigation.

“I appreciate all the officers involved and assisting with this investigation,” said Hart.
