Brookhaven Police officers are currently working the scene of a shooting in east Brookhaven.

According to Chief of Police Kenneth Collins, a shooting occurred early Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Marr and East Cherokee streets. The victim was transported to King’s Daughters Medical Center by privately owned vehicle.

“This is currently under investigation,” Collins said.
