Sixteen-year-old Kiera Blackman was reported missing Tuesday, Sept. 26, near her Brookhaven home.

Brookhaven Police Chief Kenneth Collins said she left a note for her father.

She was last seen that day around 2:30 a.m. She is described as a Black female, 5-feet 8-inches tall, approximately 140 pounds.

Collins said the FBI and other appropriate agencies are working with BPD to locate the teen.

“If an adult is keeping her away from her family, they need to know they will face criminal charges,” Collins said.
