General Election absentee voting is open in Lincoln County

The 2023 General Election is now less than one month away, and absentee voting is open.
On Tuesday, Nov. 7, voting polls will be open 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. for registered voters to cast their ballots.
Absentee voting is ongoing now in the office of Circuit Clerk Dustin Bairfield in the Lincoln County/Brookhaven Government Complex Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The office will also be open from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, and Saturday, Nov. 4.
Voters must bring a photo ID with them to cast a vote.
Absentee voting is available to any registered voter who is going to be out of town on General Election Day, is in college, over the age of 65, or physically not able to go to the polls.
Absentee voting by mail must be requested by calling the Circuit Clerk’s Office at 601-835-3435. If a ballot is received by mail, it can only be returned by mail.
Poll worker training and testing of voting machines is open to the public and all candidates at 9 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 4, in the Lincoln County Circuit Court Courtroom.
