Jax Leggett, Bogue Chitto

Senior signal caller Jax Leggett might know more about the Bogue Chitto offense than any other person alive, other than his head coach, longtime Bobcat leader Gareth Sartin. A wily veteran that’s been a backup since he joined the varsity, Leggett has smoothly made the transition to starter this season.

In a 41-0 win against West Lincoln on Senior Night, Leggett had the Bobcat offense humming all game. Through the air, he completed 5-of-6 passes for 161 yards and three touchdowns. On the ground, Leggett rushed the ball five times for 103 yards and another score.

Leggett and the Bobcats (4-3) will visit Loyd Star (6-1) Friday night for a highly anticipated 2023 Possum Bowl. Leggett and Bogue Chitto are currently in possession of the Possum Bowl trophy after winning 17-16 last season at Loyd Star.
