The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating a Sunday incident in which shots were fired at or near U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith’s home.

The shots were reportedly fired as her family was returning from church to their home in Lincoln County.

Neither MBI nor Hyde-Smith have released statements as of late Sunday.
