The Mississippi School of the Arts Theatre Department will present a dramatic play Nov. 9-11 at the school’s Enochs Theatre.

“Crumbs from the Table of Joy,” by American playwright Lynn Nottage, follows a Southern widower and his two daughters after moving to New York City in the post-World War II years, leading up to the Civil Rights Movement.

“Come laugh and cry with the Crump girls as they adapt to new surroundings, eat pastries, and negotiate the strange behaviors of a father caught between two women and a radio personality,” the play’s promotional material states.

Performances are 7 p.m. nightly, Thursday-Saturday, Nov 9-11, with $5 admission for adults and $2 admission for students.
