A Bogue Chitto man is in the hospital with serious injuries after a single-vehicle wreck Wednesday.

At approximately 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 57-year-old Michael Lambert was traveling north on Hwy. 51 S when his white 2013 Chevrolet Camaro left the roadway and collided with a tree on the west side of the highway, according to Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M Cpl. Craig James.

MHP troopers and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene. Lambert suffered serious injuries and was transported via ambulance to King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven, then transferred to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. A pet in the vehicle with Lambert was killed in the wreck, James said.
