Brookhaven Police are on the hunt for a suspect in a recent “shots fired” case.

On Monday, Nov. 20, at approximately 1:30 p.m., police received calls of gunshots in the area of East Monticello Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

While responding, police received additional calls of shots fired at Penn Street and Lottie Street.

Officers witnessed a white Honda Accord leaving the area, and stopped the vehicle at Lottie Street and MLK.

Police found a weapon upon searching the vehicle and occupants. Two juveniles were later released to their parents.

Brookhaven resident Elijah Maxwell, 19, is wanted in connection with the incidents. He faces four charges of aggravated assault.

The motive is not known, and the investigation is ongoing.
