A one-vehicle wreck near Bogue Chitto claimed the life of a Lincoln County woman Sunday morning.

At approximately 9:21 a.m., Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Calvary Drive. A Dodge truck traveling east on Calvary Drive left the roadway to the right. The truck then came back onto the road before sliding and leaving the road to the left, striking trees on the truck’s passenger side.

The 22-year-old driver was taken via ambulance to King’s Daughters Medical Center.

Brookhaven Fire Department firefighters extricated the passenger using a hydraulic rescue tool. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

Family members identified the passenger on social media as Shelbie Fuller, a 2020 West Lincoln graduate.
