A portion of Hwy. 51 in Pike County will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 5. From 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., the highway will be closed in both directions from State Route 570/Veterans Boulevard southeast to West Avenue in McComb.

The closure is necessary for water line repairs. Detour signage will be in place, and law enforcement will be onsite to direct traffic. Motorists are advised to take an alternate route, and to be on high alert for roadside workers.
