BROOKHAVEN — Lincoln County Board of Supervisors had a quick regularly scheduled meeting Monday. Lincoln County Engineer Ryan Holmes had the longest report of the morning.

His first update was on paving projects underway by Dickerson and Bowen. He said D&B are in Centreville working this week. Once they are done they will have a day left on Union, Elm, Derry and Auburn Meadows before wrapping those projects up, if the rain holds off.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation mailed the Auburn Road bridge project award packet and Holmes received the packet Friday. Holmes said they will get the contract to Joe McGee construction for them to execute today.

Lincoln County Board of Supervisors voted on October 16 to award Joe McGee construction the contract for the Auburn Bridge project. The winning bid was for $802,000.

Holmes said they are finished with 90 percent of the plans for HVAC work at the Lincoln County Courthouse. He hopes to finish those plans by Christmas and have them ready to advertise for the end of the year.

The HVAC work will require all the heating and cooling equipment to be removed from the courthouse roof and boiler room.

Holmes gave an update on the elevator at the Lincoln County Courthouse. He said the flooring is the last thing needing to be finished.

District 4 Supervisor Eddie Brown noted the elevators seemed a little slow. Holmes said they change to new sensors and the old elevator doors shut quickly in comparison.
