Monticello Elementary School will continue to be closed for all classes and activities Wednesday, Dec. 6, due to ongoing plumbing issues and repairs.

The Lawrence County School District made the announcement just prior to 2 p.m. Tuesday.

All other county schools — including Rod Paige Middle and Lawrence County High — will be open and operate on regular schedules.

MES was also closed for the same reasons on Tuesday.
