A suspect is in custody after a high-speed pursuit by law enforcement westbound on Hwy. 84.

Just after noon Monday, a theft suspect fled Walmart in Brookhaven, leading Brookhaven Police officers in a chase. The vehicle traveled south on Interstate 55, reportedly striking another vehicle before exiting onto Hwy. 84 W.

BPD pursued the suspect into Franklin County, where Franklin County Sheriff’s Office deputies joined the pursuit.

The vehicle was brought to a stop in Meadville, and the suspect was apprehended.
