A downed power line caused outages in Brookhaven Tuesday morning.

A limb fell on a line on South First Street, causing the power line to fall across both lanes of traffic. An Entergy crew was on site prior to 8 a.m. working to fix the problem.

The traffic lights were not fully functional at the intersection of South First and East Monticello streets, either.

A 4-way stop sign was placed in the intersection until the problem is resolved. Motorists should note the sign governs traffic until it is removed.
