Thursday shooting results in wounded teenagers

A Thursday night incident in Brookhaven has resulted in two — possibly three — victims suffering gunshot wounds.

At approximately 9:20 p.m., Brookhaven Police received a report from King’s Daughters Medical Center Emergency Room that two teens, of approximately 16-19 years of age, were being treated for gunshot wounds, according to Chief Kenneth Collins.

Upon investigation, officers found the incident had occurred at 517 East Congress St.

“The incident is under investigation,” Collins said. “A third victim was reported, but has not been located. No one else has shown up at any area hospital with gunshot wounds.”
