Lipsey Middle School crowns basketball league champions

Lipsey Middle School recently wrapped up its second season of hosting a school sponsored basketball league for 5th and 6th grade students. Participating students were held to academic and behavioral standards in order to play and workouts began in the summer, with a focus on fundamentals. There were three girls’ teams and four boys’ teams that played a six-game regular season before the top two teams met in the championships.
The girls’ Red Team won the title with a victory over the White Team. Red Team members include Josephine Bridges, Laila Herring, Alaina Cameron, Kamyrius Stewart, Trinity Wilson, coach Tiffany Gamble, Kylee Jackson, Tamyra Lenoir, Jordyn Gamble and coach Joy Wynn.
The boys’ Black Team won their title with a victory over the Blue Team. Black Team members include Jaiden Hill, Thomas Williams, K.J. Dickey, Noah Lenoir, Peyton Parker, coach Dwan Wilson, Kadarius Benjamin, C.J. McLaurin, Max Adams, Ja’Zahrian Hill, Kason Wilson, Chris Dickey and coach Kenneth Dickey.
