Brookhaven establishments start the New Year by passing health inspections

BROOKHAVEN — Several restaurants are off to a strong start for 2024 by passing health inspections. The Mississippi Department of Health reports inspection grades through an online database. 

Brookhaven has four establishments which passed health inspections this week. Wendy’s, Mississippi Adolescent Center, K&B Seafood and Kumar’s all passed with As. 

Wendy’s, located at 935 Brookway Boulevard, earned an A for the 16th straight time. They have earned an A every single inspection since 2016 according to the Mississippi Department of Health.

Mississippi Adolescent Center, located at 760 Brookman Drive, earned an A for the 14th straight time. The center has earned an A rating every single inspection since 2013. 

K&B Seafood, located at 526 US 51 South, recently opened at a new location in 2023. The seafood restaurant earned an A rating for the second straight time at the new location in two inspections.

Harry Kumar is the owner of the A One Stop #2, a Shell Station, located at 806 US51 North in Brookhaven. The station earned an A rating for the second straight time in two inspections.

Kumar, a Brookhaven resident, purchased the former Cracker Barrel North location in 2023 and renovated the space.
