BROOKHAVEN — Winter Storm Heather is giving businesses a day off Tuesday as freezing temperatures and wintry precipitation are in the forecast. Roads are in slick condition so please do not drive unless you have to.

Tropical Smoothie announced it would be closed. A2Z Printing will be closed today as well. Newly opened Ole Brook Vinyl & Gift Shop will be closed due to the weather.

Bumpers Drive In on US51 will be closed Tuesday. Brookhaven Ears, Nose and Throat will close Tuesday due to slick sidewalk conditions in Downtown Brookhaven. The plans for Brookhaven ENT is to reopen Wednesday.

Bank of Brookhaven does plan to open at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Home Hardware will also be open today for “your shopping connivence.”

The Rabbit Hole is located at 908 Brookway Boulevard announced they would close for Tuesday due to winter weather and encouraged customers to “Bundle up and stay safe out there.” The Rabbit Hole announced it would close for good soon.

Lincoln County Extension Office, part of Mississippi State University’s Extension Service, announced it would close the office Tuesday due to the incoming winter weather. Lincoln County Courthouse is closed Tuesday and the county  supervisors meeting has been tentatively moved to Wednesday at 1 pm.

Sipps, a custom soda shop located at 333 West Cherokee Street, announced it would be closed Tuesday for the safety of employees.

Fatheads in West Lincoln is also closed Tuesday due to the weather.

Wildfox Coffee, located at 512 West Monticello Street, will be closed due to the weather Tuesday.

Ole Brook Snow Cones and Snacks, located at 764 W Industrial Park Road, will be closed due to weather Tuesday.

Brookway Market Basket will also be closed Tuesday due to weather.

Poppa’s Buffet and Grill will be closed Tuesday.

KDMC announced that all clinics will be closed today.

Dude’s Hot Biscuits will be closed as they wished residents to “Stay warm folks.”

Brookhaven Housing Authority will be closed Tuesday.

Lincoln County Health Department will be closed today. Tobacco Mart will also be open at 9 a.m.

Davis & Company Hair Salon and Engravables will also be closed Tuesday.

For the Girls Boutique and The Stuido are closed Tuesday. Elaina Designs and Flowers is closed but are still available by phone for orders.
