A single-vehicle wreck on Sunday in Pike County resulted in two deaths.

Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M responded to a wreck on Interstate 55 Sunday at approximately 8:37 p.m.

A 2007 Cadillac Escalade — driven by 19-year-old Mauricio Gonzalez of McComb — was traveling south when the vehicle left the roadway, overturned and collided with a tree, according to Cpl. Craig James.

The two passengers — 25-year-old Carlos Gonzalez and 19-year-old Oscar Gonzalez, both of McComb — suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead on the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
