Police have detained four individuals, and are searching for suspects in a Monday afternoon shooting on Eastview Drive in Brookhaven.

At approximately 4:25 p.m., multiple gunshots were heard across eastern Brookhaven, and were reported to 911. One person was reported shot at an apartment in the Cloverdale housing units on Eastview Drive just off Williams Street NE.

Four black male subjects were reported running away from the scene.

Multiple police units and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene, and discovered no one had been struck by gunfire. One person was injured, but appeared to have hit his head falling.

“There were about eight to 12 young adults shooting,” said Police Chief Kenneth Collins. “We detained four, and recovered three guns.”

The investigation is ongoing.

“We’re just blessed no one was killed,” said Collins.
