A Silver Alert issued by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation for Benjamin Wesley Gardner, of McCall Creek, on Thursday has been canceled.

Authorities say he has been located and is safe.

Gardner, age 50, had been last seen Wednesday, Jan. 24, about 12 p.m. in the 1300 block of McCall Creek Road in Franklin County. He was walking east on Hwy. 84, wearing a hunter-green jacket, jeans, and a ball cap.

He was described as 5-feet, 8-inches tall, weighing 135 pounds, with brown/grey hair and brown eyes.

Family members say Gardner suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment.
