A 24-year-old man has died as the result of a Tuesday accident in Lincoln County.

At approximately 6:17 p.m. Jan. 30, Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M responded to a crash on Interstate 55 near mile marker 26, according to Cpl. Craig James.

A 2006 Toyota Camry, driven by Kaleb Jackson of Tylertown, was traveling north on the interstate when it left the roadway, collided with an embankment, and overturned.

Jackson suffered fatal injuries from the crash, and was pronounced dead at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb.

The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
