Gospel recording artist Lillian Lilly, of Brookhaven, has released a new music single, “At the Center of Grace.” The principal lead vocalist and founding member of the Mississippi Mass Choir is a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Brookhaven, where her brother the Rev. Larry Jointer is pastor.

Lilly has been recording, performing and touring for more than 35 years around the world. She is a multi-Stellar Award nominee, and RIAA certified platinum artist.

“This song is different for me,” Lilly said. “It will allow the public to know I can do different styles of music. I am very excited about this song.”

A native of Wesson, Lilly has been singing since age 6. The middle child of 13, she and her twin sister Carolyn performed as half of the Two Star Juniors, which later became the Traveling Stars. After the Stars disbanded, Lilly continued to perform locally as a soloist, even opening for the Grammy-nominated and winning artists the Jackson Southernaires, the Mighty Clouds of Joy, and Slim & the Supreme Angels.

She has collaborated and shared the stage with many Gospel music stars, included Shirley Caesar, Kirk Franklin, Richard Smallwood, Dottie Peoples, and LaShun Pace.

She plans to record her next solo album with Xpress Music Group in Atlanta. Her first-ever music video will be produced for the “Center of Grace” single in Jackson during April. The video will be directed by James C. Birdsong Jr. of Xpress, Emmy Award-winning director Justin M. Burks, and Grammy-nominated gospel hip hop artist Miz Tiffany.

Lilly is the wife of Waldo Lilly Sr., and the mother of Linda, Waldo Jr., and Trawick. For more information on the gospel singer, visit https://www.facebook.com/officiallillianlilly.
