BROOKHAVEN — Eight restaurants, one gas station and a nursing home celebrated Mardi Gras by passing health inspections in Lincoln County Tuesday. The Mississippi Department of Health publishes the inspection grades on an online database. 

Silver Cross, a nursing home at 503 Silver Cross Drive, earned an A rating Tuesday. It was the 18th straight A for the nursing home since it opened in 2013 the MSDH reported. 

The Subway sandwich shop at 717 US 51 N earned an A rating for the 16th straight time since 2016. Similarly, the Subway shop at 1200 Brookway Boulevard earned an A rating for the ninth time since 2016. 

Out in Caseyville, Donna’s Catering earned an A rating according to MSDH. Located at 3180 Bouie Mill Road NW, Donna’s Catering specializes in large events, fundraising and catering. 

Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce Local Business of the Year Tortilla Soup earned an A rating. It is their fourth straight A rating and fifth A rating since 2021. Tortilla Soup is located at 112 South Whitworth Avenue. 

Haven Nutrition, located at 1242 US51 NE, earned an A rating for the third straight time since opening in 2022. 

Sweet and Petite, located at 505 US51 South, earned its third straight A rating since moving to their new location on US51 in 2022. 

Tip’s Triple Master Grill, located at 1243 US 51 North, earned an A rating for the third straight time. Tiffany Byrd owns the food truck and tries to share her love for food with Brookhaven. 

Chickncoop, a restaurant at 726 South First Street, earned an A for the fourth straight time since opening in 2022. 

Blue Sky Exon, at 756 Brookway Boulevard, earned an A rating for the second straight time since 2023.
