The 2024 Fielder’s Pro Shop Goin’ to Town Car Show is Saturday, March 2, in downtown Brookhaven.

In 2023, 352 cars were entered in the show, the most entries to-date.

“We had a bumper crowd,” said T-Tommy Smith, the event’s organizer and emcee. “From where I was set up I could see down every direction, and it was packed with people. It’s the biggest turnout we’ve ever had, with spectators and participants.”

The show has continued most years since its first back in 1983. In 2023, visitors from as far away as Texas visited the show under a partly-cloudy sky with a breeze blowing.

Visitors to the show can expect to see hundreds of classic cars and trucks, mopeds or motorcycles, and a few vehicular oddballs.

The three top prizes last year each went to Chevrolets: Buddy Hillard, Mayor’s Choice, 1960 Corvette; Roy Allen of Tomball, Texas, Holiday Inn Choice Award, 1955 Bel Air; and William Barbuto of Madison, 1955 Nomad. The show is sponsored by Fielder’s Pro Shop and the Brookhaven Tourism Council.

Though pre-registration is closed, vehicles can still be registered the day of the show for $15 each. For more information, contact Smith at 601-833-8620 or the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce at 601-833-1411.
