On Monday, Feb. 26, at approximately 5:21 p.m., Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. 98 in Walthall County.

A 2019 Honda Accord, driven by 35-year-old Deyona James of Tylertown, was traveling south on Dillon Hill Road when it collided with a 2007 Western Star truck driven by 60-year-old Jerry Forbes of Foxworth, which was traveling east on Hwy. 98.

James received fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene, Cpl. James said.

Both crashes remain under investigation by MHP.
