Tuesday morning, King’s Daughters Medical Center hosted a flag-raising ceremony to mark the installation of a 45-foot flagpole at the front of its property. Hospital staff from various departments attended.

The flag was raised by the Brookhaven High School JROTC cadets, led by First Sgt. David A. Williams (Ret.), as BHS junior and band member Garrett Dykes played the National Anthem on his trumpet.

Dr. Woody Rimes, hospital chaplain, offered a prayer a dedication prior to the raising of the flag.

Christensen said the ceremony was solemn and reverent, and underscored KDMC’s ongoing dedication to serving the community’s healthcare needs, and fostering a sense of unity and pride in its surroundings.
