A Brookhaven man has been charged with rape-assault with intent to ravish.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into the alleged rape of an Adams County resident on April 24. On May 7, ACSO criminal investigators obtained a warrant for the arrest of James Gove of Brookhaven on charges of rape-assault with intent to ravish.
Gove surrendered to ACSO on May 9, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said he did not want to release too many details of the case, due to the sensitive nature of the crime.
