On Monday, Memorial Day, representatives of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2618 in Brookhaven honored the memories of those Armed Forces members from Lincoln County who gave their lives in defense of the United States during various wars.

Miss Mississippi Teen USA Addie Carver led the Pledge of Allegiance.
On Monday, Memorial Day, representatives of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2618 in Brookhaven honored the memories of those Armed Forces members from Lincoln County who gave their lives in defense of the United States during various wars. The names listed on the Lincoln County Armed Forces Memorial at the Lincoln County/Brookhaven Government Complex were read aloud and a wreath was placed in front of the memorial as onlookers watched in reverent silence.
District VFW Commander Ben Johnson led the program. Miss Mississippi Teen Addie Carver led in the Pledge of Allegiance.
