Funeral services for Elizabeth Middleton, of Hazlehurst are Saturday, July 15, 2017, at noon at Bethel Baptist Church in Hazlehurst with burial at the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 15, 2017, from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Middleton, 88, died Wednesday July 12, 2017, in Brookhaven. She was born in Crystal Springs, on Sept. 5, 1928, to E.J. and Myrtle T. McDonald. She was retired from the Copiah County Health Department where she worked as office manager. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her husbands, Fred D. Heard Jr. and Wayne Middleton; parents; and one son, Billy Middleton.

Survivors are her sons, Dale Heard (Ginger), Charles Heard (Judy), Fred Heard (Sue), Dennis Middleton (Tara), Danny Middleton (Pat), and Carroll Middleton; 10 grandchildren, Hollie Heard Cook (Andy), Dave Heard (Brandi), Jess Middleton, Honor Middleton, Jaymie Heard (Amy), Kelly Heard (Brandi), Bethany Nations (Lane), Marc Middleton (Thea), Bailey Middleton and Preston Middleton; and seven great-grandchildren.
