The Lawrence County Lady Cougars picked up a 9-1 win over North Pike Tuesday.

The Lady Cougars exploded for five runs in the first inning and totaled 12 hits in the game.

The Lady Cougars were led at the plate that inning by Maddux Kirkland, Sydney Pevey, Kaitlin Wallace and Abbie Errington.  Errington and Wallace both hit homers.

Ashley Holden pitched six innings for Lawrence County and gave up one run on four hits.

Errington and Josey Nations racked up multiple hits in the game for the Lady Cougars.
