A memorial gathering for David Earl Bailey Sr., of McComb, will be Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, from 1 until 3 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven.

Mr. Bailey, 69, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, at his home. He was born on Feb. 1, 1948. He was a longtime member of NRA and OOIDA, the Owner Operator Independent Driver Association. He enjoyed fishing, yard work and spending time with his grandchildren and his pets.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Wiley Jackson Bailey and Nola Mae Adams Bailey; brother, Wiley Junior Bailey; paternal and maternal grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Survivors are his wife Christene Elaine P. Bailey; son, David E. Bailey Jr.; daughter, Melissa Burns Roberts; Don E. Bailey; sisters, Erma Jean Posey and husband, Gene and Louise Davis and husband Sherman; nine grandchildren, Paul Bailey and wife Sonia, R.J. Elliott, Blaine Roberts, Jonathan Burns and wife Summer, Kris Bailey and wife Ivy, Brice Roberts, Blayze Burns, Eden Bailey and Emily Bailey; great-grandchildren, Tristan and Addie Nobles, Londyn and Marly Bailey, Gavin Jackson and Gracie Myles Bailey; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
