The 1A-3A North all-stars will be coached by Rodney Moore of New Site with assistant coach Sharon Arnolds. The South team will be coached by Makisha Keyes of Bay Springs and her assistant coach Melissa Norman.

The 4A-6A North all-star team will be coached by Maggi Vondenstein of Corinth and assistant coach Bernadette Sayles of Coffeeville. The South squad will be led by David Entrekin of Purvis and assistant coach Andy McCarter.

The all-star games feature a North versus South format with one game per classification. After the format was changed in 2006 and again in 2014, the North leads the 1A-3A series 5-2-5 and the 4A-6A series 8-2-2. In last year’s 1A-3A game, the South edged out the North 14-12. In the 4A-6A game, the North beat the South 9-1. In overall meetings between the smaller and larger classifications, the North 1A-3A team beat the South 4A-6A squad 23-13 in the first game. In the second contest, the South 1A-3A defeated the North 4A-6A by a score of 8-5. The two wins by the 1A-3A teams gave the overall series lead to the smaller classification all-stars, with a 2-1-1 record.

On the roster for the 1A-3A South team is Reagan Kirkland (15) of the Bogue Chitto Lady Bobcats. Kirkland’s coach is Scott Leggett. Two of Coach Meleah Howard’s Lawrence County Lady Cougars are on the roster for the 4A-6A South team: Josey Nations (1) and Maddux Kirkland (31).
