Ava Rath, a seventh-grader at Rock Quarry Middle School, won the 6A girl’s high school tennis state championship as part of the Northridge High School team. She is the youngest player in Alabama High School Athletic Association history to win a state title. She is the granddaughter of Chester and Mary Foster of Brookhaven.
